Caribbean Smoothie

A rich, luxurious breakfast drink – great way to kick start the day! The addition of the wheat bran increases the fibre content. Recipe taken from Antony Worrall Thompson’s gi diet book.

Caribbean Smoothie

Serves 4 – 6

Ingredients:
• 3 bananas, peeled and chopped
• 425ml pineapple juice
• 300ml skimmed milk
• 2 tablespoons coconut cream
• 2 tablespoons wheat bran

Method:
1. Blend all the ingredients in a liquidiser until smooth enough to drink.
2. Add extra juice or milk as necessary to create the prefect consistency.
3. Serve in tall glasses
